Saw where labs were America’s favorite dog again but I have to tell you, we had a couple of corgi’s, Max and Cati. Cati I do believe trained us for when God finally blessed us with a child. She went through her puppy, terrible twos, teenager, into the most wonderful dog we have ever had. So Cati came to us as a 12 week old puppy and from the start we knew she was strong willed. Not wanting to break her spirit we tried to nurture her personality but at the same time we had to keep reminding her who was boss. Then one day she just decided her was of running the house was the best way and mommy and daddy had no idea what we were doing. It was at this stage that, I think, if she had thumbs she would have tried to become a dictator or something. No thumbs is the only reason I stand here today sharing a story about Cati. I remember that day when we had our “come to Jesus” moment and she realized she didn’t have it that bad and mommy and daddy would always do what was best for her. It was that day she really started watching and learning how to fit in and be a member of the ‘pack”. Cati was the most awesome dog I have ever known. I remember when we brought Moriah home, Cati instantly laid clam to her and that was her job, watching over Moriah. Sadly a month after Moriah came home Cati got sick and passed, she was 12. But I love critters, and puppy dogs are your fur babies so I say this knowing you probably feel the same way and that’s good, but keep your labs, and your Huskys and German Shepards, give me a Welsh Corgi. They are the dogs with short legs, no tail, but the biggest heart.
