New Vehicle Technology Might Call Cops On You

The Beaver 100.3 studio has been divided!!  Fletch is against this whole thing, Jai is for it . . .

Who’s team are you on?

Here’s the story: Chinese tech giant Huawei has been working on a way to keep driver’s honest (and the rest of us safe) that will alert authorities if you’re breaking the law while driving – – – like drunk driving, texting while driving, even sleeping behind the wheel (for those with the self-driving cars), or are one to act on your horrible road-rage tendencies.

It’s a camera that focuses on your face to look for clues of impaired/wreckless driving behavior and also listened for things like slurred speech, then locks up the controls on your car and calls the police on you.

The technology will also monitor how fast you’re driving, as well as whether or not you came to a complete stop at that stop sign.

Fletch loathes the idea . . . Jai is here for it . . . Where do you stand?
