Mom Refused to Pay Babysitter Because It Was a ‘Day of Fun’

Dear Babysitters: Do NOT leave the home you babysat for before you get paid.

One woman actually tried to stiff her babysitter what was owed with the excuse, “You got free ice cream and a day of fun!”  NOPE! Not how it works, lady . . . Your kids aren’t that cool.

The babysitter watched the woman’s kids for 8 hours at $16/hour. That’s $128 owed the woman was refusing to pay.

The babysitter sent the mom a screenshot of their previous text conversation where they agreed on the rate of $16/hour, but the mom claimed, “I delete my messages often” and instead offered to pay the babysitter $20.

After more back and forth texting, the mom BLOCKED the babysitter from contacting her phone, so the babysitter reached out to the dad of the kids, threatening to take the family to small claims court, even explaining how much it would cost them . . . so the couple agreed to pay the $128.
