Miranda Lambert Loving the Stepmom Life, and Debuts New Song at CMA Fest

Miranda LambertĀ recently shared with “Extra” about being a newlywed and her marriage to police officer Brendan McLoughlin, saying, “We have the best of both worlds. We spend time in New York, we get to see our adorable nugget, then we get to come back tot he farm and have the quiet life. I’m enjoying the balance.”

BTW, the “nugget” Miranda speaks of is Brendan’s 7 month old son from a previous relationship.

The new stepmom continues, “My stepson is amazing. I’m loving that whole phase, and I’ve raised a million dogs, so I feel like I’ve got that part of my womanly/motherly thing is full, so this is a whole new journey. It’s great.”

In other Miranda Lambert news, the country powerhouse debuted a new song called “Locomotive” during her set on Saturday night at CMA Fest.

Of the new jam, Miranda says, ” I chose [this song] for CMA Fest because it’s total country punk-rock. It’s just fun. It really is a reflection of who I am right now.”
