Man Steals Street Sweeper, Leads Police On Chase

https://soundcloud.com/beaver1003/street-sweeper-stolen-screwynews Question number one, is why would anyone want to steal a street sweeper? Police in Oregon had the chance to ask that of Tyler Haugewood, who jumped into a street sweeper being used by a private contractor to clean a parking lot. Haugewood took off in the sweeper, but thankfully, it wasn’t too hard for police to find the vehicle and pursue it. A ten-mile chase ensued, and believe it or not, a street sweeper can reach speeds of 65 miles per hour! The vehicle was finally stopped when it ran over spike strips put down by sheriff’s deputies. Haugewood was arrested and charged with vehicle theft, reckless driving, attempting to elude, unlawful entry of a vehicle, unauthorized use of a vehicle, and a prole violation. Still no reason cited as to why he stole the sweeper.
