Man follows victim home from bar, steals his vehicle after argument

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A man has been arrested after allegedly following another man home from a bar and stealing his vehicle. According to an arrest warrant, the victim and the suspect got into an argument Dec. 22 at O’Connor’s Pub in Clarksville. When the victim left the bar, 30-year-old Robert Allen Main followed him to his mother’s house on Tylertown Rd. The victim said he dropped the keys to his Jeep while running inside. Main then picked up the keys and drove away with the victim’s vehicle. Main initially told police that he was just going to take the vehicle and hide it. During an interview he said the victim came out of the house and fired a gun and that the Jeep was the only cover he had, so he jumped inside and drove off because he feared for his safety. Main was charged with theft over $10,000, which is a Class C Felony. His bond was set at $10,000.
