Make The Choice

Lately, I’ve been thinking about everything that has/is going on right now, and it just makes me want to just pack up the family and move to the middle of nowhere and live off the grid.  Have you ever been there?  Maybe you’re there right now, but how does that help anything?  Then I just started thinking of the simple.  And the best thing I can do with the circle of people I will interact with, choose joy.  No, I’m not meaning be fake, but look for ways to be happy.  Sunrise, sunset, taking just a moment to stop and look around, choose joy.  It’s not an emotion, it’s an action and when you choose joy, you are not choosing the negative.  I think about Moriah and what brings her joy, then I think we can do that for others.  Give without expecting, I guess, is sort of how I would sum it up.  If you do something, don’t expect the kindness to be returned, praise if it is, but just choose joy.  I have to make a conscious effort to do this, but for me, it has helped.  So just sharing because maybe it will help you or someone you know as well.  Choose joy.
