It seems like every few weeks, Luke Combs has scaled a huge mountain in his country music career, and yesterday brought another milestone achievement to the country superstar. It was announced by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) that Luke’s 2017 single “Beautiful Crazy” had achieved something few have: “Diamond” status.
A “Diamond” designation represents 10M copies of a single or album sold, and only five other country songs in history have achieved that level of success: Chris Stapleton’s “Tennessee Whiskey,” Darius Rucker’s “Wagon Wheel,” Florida Georgia Line’s “Cruise,” Lady A’s “Need You Now” and the Lil Nas X/Billy Ray Cyrus collab, “Old Town Road.”
