Luke Combs Breaks Record Previously Held by Brooks & Dunn and Florida Georgia Line

Luke Combs just broke a record, becoming the first artist to have his first five singles all reach the #1 spot on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. Brooks & Dunn held the title when their first four singles hit #1, then Florida Georgia Line joined them when their first four took on the same honor.

Talk about coming out strong when Luke’s first hit “Hurricane” dropped in 2017, followed by “When It Rains It Pours,” then “One Number Away.” “She Got the Best of Me,” and most recently “Beautiful Crazy.”

Brooks & Dunn’s first four singles to take the #1 spot were “Brand New Man,” “My Next Broken Heart,” “Neon Moon,” and “Boot Scootin’ Boogie.”  FGL’s first four singles that helped them tie with Brooks & Dunn were “Cruise,” “Get Your Shine On,” “Round Here,” and “Stay.”
