Kacey Musgraves’ Advice on Being Unique

Happy 30th Birthday, Kacey Musgraves!!

Jai’s Country music girl crush sat down recently with Reese Witherspoon on the latter’s show “Shine On with Reese” to discuss some things.

They drove around Nashville during their chat, with Kacey answering questions about moving to Nashville and why it’s important to be unique.

Musgraves says, “I was a songwriter first before being an artist, so about a year after being in town was when I got to write for a job.  And then I wrote for three years every single day with different people.”  She continues, “It’s intimidating [because] there are so many people in line wanting to do what you want to do, you have no excuse NOT to be unique and as good as you can be.”

The episode will debut TODAY on DirecTV and AT&T.
