John Rich to Donate Proceeds from “Shut Up About Politics” Song to Families of Fallen and Wounded Soldiers

ICYMI: John Rich (of Big & Rich) was on Fox’s show “The Five” last week and preformed a new song called “Shut Up About Politics;” co-written by Rich and The Five co-host Greg Gutfeld.

Greg had sent John a bunch of ideas and lyrics, then John pulled out the good stuff and put the words into a song.

John shares the message of the song is, “Talk about politics if you want to watch the news, but in regular life people want to have other things that they’re thinking about and worrying about . . . their jobs and their families and wanting to do well.”

The country singer continues, “[Why] fight about stuff like that when you go to a baseball game or hang out and do something constructive, and that’s kind of what this song is about.”

The single, which is out now, includes “guest vocals” from Greg along with some of the other co-hosts on the show.

Proceeds will benefit Folds of Honor, a nonprofit helping to support families of wounded and fallen soldiers.
