Jana Kramer reveals all

Jana Kramer just revealed to People Magazine that her first marriage was about as bad as it could be… poor thing! She endured when she was married to her first husband, Michael Gambino. Kramer says Gambino would routinely abuse her, both physically and verbally, and she recalls one night when that violence escalated and became life-threatening. On August 6, 2005, Michael choked Jana until she was unconscious, leaving her bleeding on the gravel outside of their home. Gambino was soon convicted of attempted murder and sentenced to six years in prison. He was released in 2010 and committed suicide two years later. Jana hopes that by sharing her story, she can help other women who’ve suffered from abuse. She says, “If I can help one person, I’ll be thankful for what happened – and I can move forward.”
