Welcome to the LAST WEEKEND for Christmas shopping!
Wait . . . when did that happen, and why am I still not finished?
While I’m normally done before December starts (thank you Black Friday & Cyber Monday), this year I did things a little differently. I went out and about, looking in and around Beaver Country, and I found a lot of great gift ideas.
Monday I shared by favorite sparkly shoulder top . . . Tuesday was my “All I Want for Christmas is Tacos” tee . . . Wednesday was all about adulting with some of my favorite soaps. . . . Thursday highlighted candles I bought as gifts, but decided to keep them for myself (because, “treat yourself” and all that).
While I discovered a new favorite lunch spot in Silke’s Old World Breads, I also discovered that they have some really cool items in their cafe!
. . . But first, the food . . .
The Eats.
If you’re looking for some good eats, and a gift card option, I highly suggest a visit to Silke’s Old World Breads. The smell of fresh baked bread kisses your nose as soon as you walk through the door in the most amazing way. Their salmon burger is my favorite thing on the menu, and I typically pair it with a side of their German potato salad (which has a vinegar base instead of mayo).
But wait, there’s more!
Owner Silke Tyler supports local artists. You can buy the works on her walls or take a look around the shelves.
Silke is also a teacher and healer, so something you can get in her cafe are crystals. (I love healing crystals, and so does my yogi older sister, so these crystals had her name written all over them.
If you stop in and find something you like, I’d love to see! Tag @beaver1003 and @silkesbreads on Instagram.
Happy Shopping!
