It’s The Great Turkey Shortage Charlie Brown

Another week, another shortage coming to a home near you.  This week the news is a turkey shortage.  So evidently, companies place their orders for what they will buy from farmers just after the first of the year, so let’s rewind.  Back in Feb 2021 when orders were being placed for 2021 Thanksgiving and Christmas turkeys we were still inside COVID mania with not knowing how this thing was going to work out and companies didn’t want to invest a lot in the turkey futures with all that uncertainty.  Now, get to where we are now, late Oct 2021, people are planning their holiday get together’s and want turkeys.  There weren’t as many turkeys ordered so that is why we now have a shortage of the traditional holiday bird.

You can read more about it by clicking here.

Stay tuned, next week, new shortage announcement on the way 🙂
