It Was National Pet Day

I have gone my whole life with a pet.  Over the years, in addition to a dog, then cats.  I have had fish.  I’ve never really got into much more than that.  i have a friend that gets into snakes.  Then I’ve known a couple of others that have had spiders and what not.  But, to each their jam, right?  For me, there’s nothing like having a pet.  It;s that connection and the forcing you to see the world through an others eyes.  Having a pet helps in keeping me focused because throughout the day it’s all this stress and people pulling from every direction but when you get home and they are their, and all they want is some of your time, it helps you refocus on the “it’s not all about me or the deadline”, you know?  I could go on and on and sound so philosophical about it but what else can be said?  Hopefully you spread a little love and give those fur-babies great big hugs because they need it.  And enjoy your pets.
