It Humbles Me

As we are getting close to the weekend and Memorial Day, I always think about the men and women who sign up to defend our nation.  Obviously I have gotten to know so many at Ft. Campbell and the very fact that there are those who sign there name on a line saying they will join to fight if need be and put themselves in harms way is something we should not take lightly.  I was at Eaglefest in Dover over the weekend and met a couple of those that have done just that, signed up.  When they go to fight, I picture them fighting for my little girl.  They are fighting for me and for you, and some may never come back home, that’s the sad reality.  But to hang with them like over this past weekend, there’s just laughing and good conversation and I hope they sense a deep respect and a thank you from me and my family.

Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. (John 15:13)

And to those that have lost their lives to defend us, we stand strong because you were willing to die for us.

Thank you

Fletch
