I miss Huey

With soooo many tours being cancelled for 2020 because of all this COVID-crap as I call it, it got me to thinking, what’s the one person you could kick yourself for not going and seeing them while they were touring? For me, the one I regret most, Huey Lewis and The News. Hands down!!!! I became a fan of them with the album sports and all through the eighties and nineties they were my jam. Any time they came on the radio even though I had their albums, I still had to stop and listen, and yes, sing along. Well it was about 10 years ago they were coming to the Schermerhorn in Nashville. I. Was. Stoked!!! But then all the reasons to not go flooded my mind. I’m tired, I really don’t want to spend the money, I just want to stay at the house, and I’ve gone out enough for the month. Well, they came and I heard from a few of my friends that went that it was an amazing show. Of course I said man I will go next time but fast forward a few years and heard that Huey Lewis has a condition called Meniere’s disease and that he said he couldn’t hear well enough to sing. So my chance to see one of my favorite bands ever, lost forever…DANG IT!!!!! You only live once and if you get a chance to see a person or band and if you can DO IT, you may never get another chance. The above blog however does not apply to Keith Richards, he will outlive us all.
