I Gotta Get Me Some Of That Bait, DANG!

Here we go, another record ALMOST smashed.  This time for a catfish caught on the Mississippi River.  It happened last Friday when a couple of guys fishing with baitfish reeled in this “river monster” of a fish.  Weighing in at 112 lbs it was just shy of the state record.  It took eight minutes to reel it in which to me doesn’t sound like too long of a time.  I would have thought it would have taken a bit longer but of course I would have been trying to grab a swig of mountain Dew while getting that sucker in the boat, but hey they got in.  Had it weighed and then released it back for someone else to possible have the same experience they had.  So somewhere near St. Lewis, there is a 112 lbs blue cat that is right now chillin’ at the bottom of the Mississippi just waiting for you to wet a line.
