How long Until You Need a Break From Family During the Holidays?

Need a tip for surviving a holiday trip to visit with family?  How about staying at a hotel . . .

When that’s not quite an option, it’s OK to take some breaks do de-stress, because let’s be real . . . we love our family, but it doesn’t mean we like each and everyone of the family members (especially the extended family . . . or in-laws).

For real, though. Just pencil in a break every so often.

No need to feel like a jerk, because you aren’t alone. According to a new survey, the average person can only got around 3 hours and 54 minutes with the fam before needing a break.

Only 25% of us can be with them for long stretches of time . . . but, all in all, 95% of people totally agree that spending time with family during the holidays is important.

Here are more stats the survey found:

1.  40% of people who are staying with family this year said it’s stressful.

2.  The top reasons we stay with family are to spend quality time with them . . . because we enjoy it . . . and because it’s cheaper, or more convenient than a hotel.

3.  30% said they’d enjoy the holidays more if they DIDN’T stay with family, and they’d all get along better too.

4.  The average person who’s staying with relatives will stay for three-and-a-half days.

5.  The hardest things about staying with family are the lack of privacy . . . people getting on each other’s nerves . . . and family drama.

So . . . where do you fall in when it comes to surviving holidays with the people you love most (or are legally obligated to be around . . . because, y’know, marriage and all)?
