Maybe you settled back into your routine last week, or maybe you’re not “kicking off your new year” until this week . . . either way, a new survey found it takes us, on average, about 4 days to get back into the swing of things, post-holidays.
Here are the top ten culprits that make readjusting so dang difficult:
- The weather is horrible. Which is just depressing.
- The days are still short, and it gets dark early.
- We know we’ve got another two months of winter left.
- You just feel tired and sluggish in general.
- January feels like the longest month of the year.
- The excitement of Christmas has passed.
- Readjusting to your routine feels boring.
- It feels like ages before you’ll have time off work again.
- You feel like there’s nothing to look forward to now.
- You want to exercise, but can’t get motivated.
