Here We Mow Again

I have a love/hate relationship with spring.  I love the flowers, the fact that things are ‘waking” up and greening up.  But that also means, mowing.  Don’t get me wrong the first few times I can not wait to get out there on the mower and cut the grass.  I’ve never been a big fan of weed eating but that’s a different topic for a different day.  Getting on the mower and firing it up for the first time each season feels good.  Almost like a been let out of jail card.  But then as spring gives way to summer, and summer with it’s heat and humidity drags on and on, the mowing, for me at least, loses it’s luster.  I get to where instead of me saying to myself, “well I need to go mow” with a bit of chipperness in my voice, I find myself saying, “dang it I have to mow again, didn’t I just do that?”  I’m not sure if I’m the only one who feels like that but if not, know you are not alone either.  But hey, summer is still a little ways off, so for now let’s get out there with all the spring enthusiasm that we can unleash on that yard, fire up the mower, and let’s have some fun!…and straight lines. lol
