I took a side gig for a few weeks working some at the Grand Ole Opry House working the ACM setup. I have to admit it’s been pretty cool to see how it all is coming together. I have no idea how the finished product will look, but I think 11 tractor trailers have unloaded sound gear, lights, steel, props, you name it. So yesterday they were rigging the lights and installing a backdrop on the Opry stage. The thing is huge and had to be put together by hand. And, this was the first time it has ever been put together. They had the instructions on assembly and they were slowing putting it together. I think so far I’ve seen 6 pieces and was told it took around two days to build each piece. Now, I’m curious how it’s all going to look on stage next Sunday night. CBS is where they are going to be televised. And if something malfunctions, know that I didn’t have anything to do with it. I just observed.
