In honor for today being National Video Games Day, you know someone had to conduct a survey on gaming habits.

When asked to name the best video game franchise of ALL TIME, the winner was pretty clear.

Here are the Top 10 video game franchises GOATS (greatest of all time):

  1. 47% of people voted for “Super Mario Brothers”
  2. 21% went for “Call of Duty”
  3. 19% go hard for “Donkey Kong”
  4. 19% say their favorite is “Grand Theft Auto”
  5. 16% voted for “Pkémon”
  6. 13% said it was “Zelda” or bust
  7. 13% picked “Sonic the Hedgehog” as their favorite video game franchise
  8. 9% like “Final Fantasy” best
  9. 9% are all about that “Halo” life
  10. 7% prefer “Crash Bandicoot”

Other findings in the survey were that 31% of people admitted to playing video games every day – – – 41% play games on their phone while watching TV – – – 39% play while in bed – – – and 34% game while conducting business on their porcelain throne.
