Cheese doesn’t really need it’s own holiday, but we won’t complain.
According to National Cheese Day survey, American’s love the milder cheeses (or cheezes, if you will) rather than the stinky ones.
Among the favorites are cheddar, mozzarella and American cheese. Least favorite cheeses are blue cheese, limburger and goat cheese.
Fletch agrees with the American norm and leans towards the milder cheeses, with white American cheese being his favorite. Jai likes the stanky cheeses best, the funkier the better.
Here are a couple other stats the survey found:
23% of Americans almost always add cheese to their food.
17% would add cheese to EVERY meal if it wasn’t bad for their health.
17% of people polled like mozzarella best.
15% favor American cheese.
11% prefer pepper jack.
8% would rather have provolone over any other cheese.
25% of people polled hate blue cheese.
17% think limburger is nasty.
16% highly oppose goat cheese.
8% aren’t fans of Swiss cheese.
And here’s a little bonus fact for you: If you suffer from lactose intolerance, you’re NORMAL! Humans all used to be lactose intolerant, so people today who aren’t actually have a mutated gene that allows them to process dairy. So, if you are without lactose intolerance, you’re a mutant and possibly belong in the Marvel Universe.
