Giant Rattlesnake Found in Beaver Country Back Yard

NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE

A huge rattlesnake was found in a Cheatham County backyard, and now we all have the heebie-jeebies.

Rob Freeman’s wife and son were playing in the yard just before the poisonous monster appeared, measuring at 6 1/2 feet long!

Freeman knew he had to kill the snake, but called the TN Wildlife Resources Agency to double check and got the go-ahead to kill it, since Timber rattle snakes are endangered across the U.S. In TN, it’s actually illegal to harm/remove a snake from the wild unless it’s a threat, which this one was as it was in their back yard.

Apparently these suckers are all over TN and are most active mid-March to mid-October, according to the Tennessee Herpetology Society.
