Georgia Tech Student Asks Campus Cops to Shoot Him and they do….

A student at Georgia Tech named Scout Schultz was shot and killed by campus police over the weekend after he confronted them with a knife and yelled, “Shoot me!” The officers tried to talk him down by putting some distance between him and ordering him to drop the knife.  But Scout refused to drop the weapon and continued to slowly move toward them. In the end he got too close and one of the cops fired. The video is very disturbing…. Also here is a report from CNN, detailing that the victim basically lured police into this situation. Campus police didn’t have any non-lethal options like tasers, and as a result some students expressed their outrage by torching a police car during a protest after a vigil for Scout Schultz. https://twitter.com/beaver1003/status/910103026878287872
