NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Garth Brooks will play a free concert Monday at Ascend Amphitheater. The show will take place at 7 p.m. in honor of the singer becoming the first recording artist in history to earn seven Diamond Certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Brooks was previously tied with the Beatles at 6 Diamond-certified recordings. To get the free tickets, fans had to follow @Tennessee on Snapchat to get a special code. They could also receive exclusive stories about Brooks. Those who don’t have tickets can watch the show at Riverfront Park on giant video screens.
