Fort Campbell Spotlight: 1st Lieutenant Kelly Gregg

We love any amount of time we get to spend with the incredible people who selflessly serve in our country’s military, stationed at Fort Campbell . . . and our visit with 1st Lieutenant Kelly Gregg was totally the highlight of our month!

First, a little background on 1LT Gregg . . .

Born and raised in Huntington, West Virginia, Kelly joined the United States Army Reserve as a 65G in 2008, before attending Basic Combat Training at Fort Jackson in South Carolina.

Then, she attended Advanced Individual Training as a Patient Administration Specialist at For Sam in Houston, Texas.

In 2010, 1LT Gregg enlisted in the Regular Army and was recognized in 2015 for her performance and was nominated for the Commander’s Hip Pocket Green to Gold Scholarship. Gregg was selected and commissioned in the Medical Service Corps as a Second Lieutenant.

She’s not only a decorated and awarded member of the United States Army — who has been stationed stateside at Fort Bliss (TX), Fort Sam (TX), Fort Campbell (KY) . . . and overseas including Yongsan (South Korea) and Sembach (Germany) — 1LT Gregg is an incredible, and highly regarded musician.

She’s been a performer in the U.S. Army Soldier Show, preformed the National Anthem on many platforms, and has even performed with The Band Perry on the nationally televised Academy of Country Music’s Salute to the Troops in Las Vegas.

1st Lieutenant Kelly Gregg not only chatted with Fletch & Jai about her experiences, she also performed (along with her guitar Delilah) a rendition of the song “Country Strong,” a song from the film of the same name starring Tim McGraw and Gwenyth Paltrow.

ICYMI, you can check out the full interview below (audio will be coming soon . . . be sure to check back).
