Fort Campbell, KY. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) There was a chill in the air at Campbell Army Airfield Wednesday night but it was a warm Welcome Home Ceremony that greeted 169 soldiers with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion. The soldiers returned from a nine-month deployment in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. Division headquarters provided command and control of coalition troops along with training, advising and assisting Iraqi Security Forces. The Commanding General of the 101st, Major General Gary J. Volesky, is expected to return to Fort Campbell in the near future from Iraq. See the Full Photo Gallery Here!
