Wednesday, October 9 – “Who Is It Wednesday?” Be the first person to correctly identify the celebrity Fletch & Jai give 5 facts about. Today’s facts were: If the musician thing didn’t work out for this Beaver Country artist, he could always get more into his favorite sport: Bowling — and see where that career takes him . . . Even though he was born in New Zealand, most of his upbringing was done in Australia (BTW, don’t call a Kiwi an Aussie nor an Aussie a Kiwi (Jai learned that one the hard way) . . . He dropped out of high school at the age of 15 to pursue music full time, and while he wouldn’t recommend that to his daughters, it did not NOT work out for him . . . He’s not the only talented singer in his family; his wife, whom he affectionately refers to as “Nic” has been known to belt out a tune or two on film . . . When he first moved to the U.S., he wasn’t legally allowed to have any jobs that weren’t in the music industry, but that wasn’t a big deal since he was able to hold jobs as a road guitarist for Brooks & Dunn, The Dixie Chicks, and Alan Jackson. . . Starting with caller number 5, can you be the first person to correctly identify the name of the song and artist/s? Friday, October 11 – “5 Second Friday” Fletch & Jai will give you the cue to call, and they’re looking for caller number 5. Once caller 5 is on the line, Fletch & Jai will ask a trivia question, and the caller will have five seconds to give the correct answer. If caller number five fails their attempt, Fletch & Jai will reset the clock and move on to the next caller. Today’s question was: True or False . . . Halloween always falls on October 30th. (A: False, Halloween is always on October 31st)
Monday, October 14 – “Movie Quote Monday” Fletch and Jai say a line from a movie, starting with caller number 5 and working their way up from there. Caller must correctly identify the movie. Today’s movie quote was: “The wrong kid died!” (A: Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story)
Tuesday, October 15 – “5 Second Tune Tuesday” Fletch & Jai will play the first 5 seconds of a song and, starting with caller number 5, the listener must correctly identify title and artist of the song. If caller number five doesn’t guess the correct title and artist, we’ll move on to the next caller. Today’s five second tune was: Runaway June – “Buy My Own Drinks”
