Feel Good Story: Young ‘Police Officer’ Cheers Up Elderly Nursing Home Patients with ‘Too Cute’ Tickets

There’s a seven year old “officer” who writes tickets to elderly patients in nursing homes for being “too cute.”

Two years ago, Oliver Davis had a conversation with his mom, Brandi Davis, about what it means to be a police officer.

Brandi shared with her local news outlet, “One day we were discussing what a policeman’s job is and I explained how they are there to help people.”

That spurred an idea in Oliver to pick up some flowers and hand then out to patients at his grandma’s nursing home.

He. Was. Hooked.

Oliver started visiting more nursing homes, spending about 2-3 hours at a time to pass out flowers and hugs, and even wearing a police officer uniform.

Now, two years later, Oliver continues to visit nursing homes — two a week — across his community in Kansas City, giving out hugs, flowers and tickets for being “too cute.”
