Feel Good Story: UPS Driver Saves Dog From Frozen Lake

Last month Ryan Arens, a UPS driver, was making his rounds in Montana when he heard a yelping sound along his route.

It turned out that someone’s dog had wandered out onto a frozen pond and fell through the ice.

There was an older guy trying to break through ice to get to the dog via a rowboat, but Ryan new that would take longer than the dog had.

So without hesitation, Ryan stripped down to his boxers, jumped in the boat and tried to slide it across the ice to where the dog was, about 15 feet off shore.

However, the ice broke and Ryan fell in. So he just kept on swimming out to the dog in the frozen water, lifted the fur baby up on the ice and totally saved the pup’s life.

The owner of the boat took them both inside to get warm.

Afterwards, Ryan got dressed and continued along his route, delivering another 20 packages that day.

Recently, while delivering a package, he saw the dog again. Turns out that package belonged to the pup’s owner and the dog, named Sadie, remembered Ryan!

Sadie ran right up to Ryan.  (Stahhhp it! We’re all crying now)
