Feel Good Story: Truck Drivers Throw Surprise Party for Teen with Cerebral Palsy

A young man named Bubba Cadd has cerebral palsy, as well as developmental issues, but he doesn’t let that define him.

Bubba loves trucks more than anything.  His family’s yard faces a highway, so Bubba likes to sit outside and watch the trucks go by, sometimes getting them to honk as they pass.

Last month, Bubba’s mom noticed a small model truck in their front yard, and realized one of the truck drivers must have left it there for her son.  Wanting to find the driver, Bubba’s mom posted the story to Facebook, and it went viral.

Upon seeing the post, a bunch of truck drivers decided to do something special for Bubba’s upcoming 16th birthday.

Calling it “18 Wheels for Bubba,” truckers from all over the country showed up, lined their trucks up in a parking lot and threw Bubba a massive surprise party!

When Bubba and his family got to the parking lot, they were surprised with over a thousand people ready and waiting to wish him a very happy birthday.  There were over 180 tractor-trailers and other trucks for Bubba to check out, riding on a golf cart to visit each and every one.
