In a North Dakota town lives a 44 year old social worker named Kerri-Lynn Larimer, whom the community just adores.
So much, in fact, that when she left for a week to take on an intense round of cancer treatments, the town came together to remodel her house.
Larimer had been fighting cancer for about a year, when she had to go out of town for some heavier treatments.
That’s when her BFF hit up some people to see if they could get the floors replaced while Kerri-Lynn was gone. Something Larimer and her husband had been wanting to do for awhile, but kept getting put off.
Not only were they able to deliver on new flooring, but more people stepped up to help with other home needs, basically remodeling the entire house!
With so many community members coming together to help, they were able to replace the floors, fix up one of the bathrooms, replaced a bunch of light fixtures, repainted the walls, spruced up the yard, and even installed a new furnace — all in ONE WEEK.
