Feel Good Story: Teens Shovel Driveway for Neighbor on Dialysis

A beautiful story of people helping people, because that’s what this world is really all about.

There’s a woman in Parsippany, New Jersey who’s been on dialysis for the last several years. If she does’t go for her regular treatments, she could die.

That’s why one of her neighbors had been shoveling her driveway all winter, so that she wouldn’t have any issues getting out and making it to her needed dialysis appointments.

However, the neighbor is a paramedic and had to work during the last big snowstorm and was unable to shovel his neighbor’s driveway.

That’s when his little brother, Patrick Lanigan, a high school senior decided to step in.

He not only offered to wake up early before school to shovel the driveway, but got a few of his buddies to help out as well. The friends just decided to sleep at Patrick’s, then all got up around 4:30 AM and knocked the shoveling effort out in about 30 minutes.

Patrick’s dad was so proud of his teenage son that he even shared some photos to Twitter.

They were hoping school might get cancelled that day, so they could go back to bed.  But no luck.  Most of them didn’t sleep much, but they were all happy to help.

Patrick’s dad was so proud of them, he posted some photos on Twitter, and now they’re going viral.
