We love stories of people helping people, or otherwise showing kindness and making our communities better, one heart-felt act at a time.
Rebecca Bonner, an art teacher at a Texas Elementary school in Highland Villiage, is a prime example of showing kindness and leaning in to show our future generation they matter.
An inspirational project from the art teacher had our hearts full and the internet buzzing when a post from her daughter went viral, showing her mom in a dress showcasing drawings by her students.

Rebecca told “Good Morning America” that she, “got fabric markers and sharpies…[and] I laid out my dress for two weeks and just let them doodle on it.”
The inspiration came from a private Facebook group of fellow eleemtary school art teachers who inspire each other, lift one another up, and share ideas to help students get excited about art.
“[It’s] really important for kids to have that outlet, to have that place to create, and that freedom to create,” Bonner shares.
