Feel Good Story: Taco Bell Employee Spreads Kindness, One Customer at a Time

Acts of kindness can be free, take very little time, and still make a beautiful impact on someone’s day, and maybe even their life.

Kelly Stewart (27) works at a Taco Bell in upstate New York, and decided to spread a little extra love with sincere messages to her customers.

Last fall, Kelly started writing inspirational quotes on her customers orders, an effort that has been beyond appreciated.

One of her customers, Heather O’Donnell, said Kelly’s message restored her faith in others, saying, “I got this message that said ‘when you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot around it and hang on — Franklin D. Roosevelt.’ It made me stop in my tracks and smile. Knowing someone took time out of their work or life to write this is another example that there are still good people out there.”

Kelly started writing the notes of kindness and inspiration last month and began noticing her customers saying thank you for taking the time to spread encouragement.

She shares, “I enjoy people. I like helping them make each day better, and it’s important for me to set a good example for my six-year-old son. Sometimes life can be tough, and I like looking up quotes and writing them out for people.”
