Daniel McNeely is a brain surgeon in Canada, and had a special request from one of his patients, he could help but oblige.
Dr. McNeely was about to operate on 8 year old Jackson McKie, who was dealing with fluid on his brain, when the patient made a request just before going under anesthesia: that the good doctor stitch up his teddy bear, too.
The teddy bear had definitely seen better days, old and ratty with one arm dangling by a thread.
Once Jackson’s surgery was over, Dr. McNeely moved on to perform “surgery” on the stuffed animal, using leftover stitches from Jackson’s procedure to sew the arm back on the bear.

The best news, yet . . . Jackson is doing OK and recovering nicely back home.
