Feel Good Story: Students Make New Classmate Feel Welcome After Being Bullied at Last School

Changing schools can be tough, especially in high school, but sometimes it’s the fresh start that’s truly needed to succeed.

Azzy Robinson, of Tennessee, is a 15 year old who had to change schools recently because of bullying.

He’d been getting picked on to such an extreme, Azzy was ready to give up and just wanted to stay in bed all day.

He switched schools, and started doing a lot better. Not only was Azzy being accepted and no longer a victim of bullying, but when his new classmates learned of what was happening at his previous school, they went above and beyond.

Azzy’s new classmates at LaVergne High School (just outside of Nashville) all chipped in to buy some gifts to make their new friend feel more welcome.

The students surprised their new peer with new clothes and a new pair of shoes. As soon as Azzy opened the shoebox he was overcome with emotion because he appreciated the gesture more than his new friends would ever know.

For the first time in a long time, thanks to his new classmates, Azzy truly feels good about himself.
