It’s incredible how suddenly we could lose control while driving, even if we’re fully alert to our surroundings on the road.
Orlando Hernandez (32) was driving down an interstate near Chicago when his back tire blew, and lost control of his truck.
The truck flipped, then slammed into a concrete barrier before coming to a stop on the side of the road, upside down.
With the roof and doors caved in, Orlando was trapped.
A bunch of construction workers and other people ran down to the wreck to help — and about a dozen people worked together to LIFT the truck up onto its side so Orlando could get out.
An off-duty firefighter was one of the people helping, who smashed out the windshield and cut Orlando’s seatbelt.
Orland climbed out of the truck on his own and, thanks to the kind strangers that leaned into action, he’s totally fine.
