Eva Chapman is a six year old in Daytona Beach who recently learned one of her classmates wasn’t getting enough to eat at home.
Her school does offer free hot lunches to kids who can’t pay, but with school being out for summer break, Eva was worried her classmates would go hungry.
She talked to her mom the other month about wanted to have a food drive and collect jars of peanut butter and jelly for her fellow classmates in need — choosing the PB&J because it’s one of her favorite things to eat.
In less than two months, Eva’s already collected over a thousand jars from people — even some donations coming from Canada.
Eva’s already inspired others to do good in their community. Her principal says parents, students, and other schools in the area have started their own summer food drives, all because of Eva’s story and incredible kindness.
