Feel Good Story: Server Tipped with New Car

When service is good, most will show gratitude by leaving a good tip to their server, but one couple left way more than the typical 20%.

Shelia and David Harrison finished their meal at a restaurant in Arkansas, where they are pretty much regulars, and asked to speak with their server who was in the middle of a double shift.

Maria Elena Barragan, a mother of two, was the couple’s server, and straight up thought she was in trouble when Shelia and David asked to speak with her after their meal.

Telling her local news outlet, Maria shared, “I got scared at first because I thought I was in trouble,” She continued, “They pulled up some seats at the table and told me how much they appreciate and loved me and then they presented me with a gift bag.”

Inside that gift bag were papers and a set of keys to a 2019 Buick Encore in HER NAME!

Originally, Maria declined to accept the extremely generous gift, until David told her she needed to take it “because God led [him] to do it.”

Maria then shared, “I didn’t take it as a tip. I took it as a gift from God.”
