Feel Good Story: Server Gets Massive Tip From Kind Patron on a Slow Night

Kindness is contagious — witnessing one act of kindness tends to inspire others to to offer their own kind act to someone else.

There have been stories over the years of celebrities leaving massive tips to servers when dining out.

One wealthy businessman in Salisbury was inspired but the recent stories of actor (and NKOTB member) Donnie Wahlberg leaving many big tips, and he wanted to leave a generous tip of his own.

While dining out with a friend, a car dealership owner named Ernie Boch, Jr. noticed the restaurant they at wasn’t super busy . . . like, about a bare minimum of customers were there.

Recalling Donnie Wahlberg’s 2020 challenge where he left a $2,020 tip at an IHOP, Ernie knew this was the moment to partake.

The server waiting on Ernie and his friend, Jennifer Navaria, was the recipient of the massive tip the car dealership owner left.

At first glance, Jennifer thought she’d just received a $50 tip . . . a pretty nice tip compared to what the total dinner bill actually cost.

Then, she looked closer . . . it was actually a $5,000 TIP!

A 3,184% tip!

Jennifer shared, “I was, like, ‘Oh, wait a minute,’ so then I looked down again and I saw it was four digits, then a decimal point. I said, ‘You made my night,’ but, really, he made my month.”

While many of us might not be able to go to this extent, there are little things we can do to show kindness to others.
