Feel Good Story: Secret Santa Recruits Helpers to Hand Out Hundreds to Random Strangers

Secret Santa isn’t just for office Christmas parties anymore . . .

There’s an anonymous, wealthy businessman who acts as a Secret Santa every year, traveling around the country to hand out hundreds of dollars to random strangers.

Typically, he’ll pick the targets of his generous gifts at thrift stores, but this year the Secret Santa recruited bus drivers with the Milwaukee County Transit System to help him out.

The Secret Santa chose the drivers because they’ve been known to go above and beyond their jobs to do kind deeds, like helping turtles cross the street and even stopping to rescue lost children wandering around alone.

Five drivers on different buses and routes were given thousands of dollars in hundred dollar bills to hand out to various passengers.

Of course, this is about so much more that just money. It’s about unconditional kindness. While the gift recipients were overwhelmed at the kindness, the drivers were affected as well.

One driver shared, “It was a great experience. It’s going to stick with me the rest of my life.”

The Secret Santa shares, “If you ever feel down, if you ever feel a little depressed, and you want to solve your problem, go out and do something kind for somebody — because when you do that, you’re uplifting yourself.”
