Feel Good Story: School Raises Funds to Buy Car for Beloved Janitor

Loving your job is an incredible feeling, especially when we spend so many hours of our day and days of our week there . . . but feeling loved and appreciated by those you work for and with is a true blessing!

Robert Reed felt that heart-warming moment of love and support from people he already cherished.

A janitor at an elementary school near Memphis, Robert has quite the trek to get to the school each day . . .

He doesn’t have a car, so Robert takes three busses AND walks about two miles each way to get to work.

Sure, he could probably get a job closer to where he lives, but he loves the school and people there, so why leave?

Recently, a teacher decided to show Robert just how much he is appreciated by kicking off a GoFundMe campaign in an effort to buy him a car.

A whole bunch of other teachers, school faculty, and parents got in on it, too, and in less than twenty four hours, the GoFundMe campaign had already raised close to $10,000!!

Last checked, the campaign has raised over FORTY-SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS!!

Robert literally fell to his knees and started sobbing from the love he felt when they told him about the campaign and buying him a car.

He shares that he already loved everyone at the school for helping him out over the years and giving him rides when it was really needed . . . adding, they’re basically like family to him!

*We’re not crying, you’re crying.*

Here’s a photo of Robert.
