There’s a restaurant owner in Cary, IL who, like most business owners, uses Facebook to connect with customers.
Chef Juan Carlos Beristain connected with a man who he soon realized was too sick to make it into his brick and mortar restaurant, JC’s Cafe, so the chef/owner offered to deliver soup at no cost.
The customer, Noah Dionesotes, loves the soup at JC’s Cafe, but after many rounds of chemotherapy to treat his multiple sclerosis (MS), he just hasn’t been able to get to his favorite cafe.
Not only did Juan Carlos tell Noah he didn’t need to pay, but promised to keep bringing him soup at no charge.
Noah didn’t expect to see Juan Carlos again, but, before he knew it, there was another knock on his door.
Noah shared, “The second time he brought [soup], I was like, ‘he’s not lying.” Noah continues, “[JC’s} like, ‘I only want to see you get better.'”
JC’s soup delivery for Noah has been happening several times a week for over a year.
