Feel Good Story: Powerlifter Rescues Man Pinned After Car Accident

Right place, right time, right person!

A couple in Michigan were in a pretty nasty accident last week.  The woman was able to crawl out of the Jeep Cherokee SUV they were in, but the man was half hanging out of the window and pinned between the vehicle and a speed limit sign.

A few people nearby had tried to push the car so the guy could escape the mangled ride, but it wouldn’t budge.

That’s when Ryan Belcher (29) who just so happens to be a PROFESSIONAL POWERLIFTER arrived on the scene and offered his help.

Ryan noticed the SUV only needed only needed to be moved a few feet to allow unpin the man, so he reached in through a broken window, then lifted and pushed at the same time, getting the crushed ton of metal over enough so that others could pull him the rest of the way out.

To put all of this into perspective — Ryan weighs 350 lbs, can squat 950 lbs, benches over 500 lbs, and an uncrushed Jeep Cherokee weighs over 4K lbs.

Paramedics got him to the hospital and the great news is that the man will survive his injuries.

Ryan even went to visit him at the hospital the other day.
