Feel Good Story: New Class of Graduating Firefighters are Children of 9/11 First Responders

Today we stand united as we remember those we lost 18 years ago on 9/11, including the first responders who ran into those knowing they may not come back out in an effort to save as many people as they could.

Well, the newest class of New York City firefighters is set to graduate this month and 13 of them are sons & daughters of firefighters who lost their lives as a result of 9/11.

These “legacy” graduates are the most any one class has ever had, and in addition to the 13 kids of firefighters, there are at least three more legacy grads who are children of other first responders who lost there lives, including the son of a NYPD officer.

They’re set to graduate on September 24th.
