Feel Good Story: McDonald’s Manager Helps Neighbor Feed More in the Homeless Community

We love sharing stories of people helping people . . . and every now and then we come across a story of people helping people helping people!!

Hazeal Cain was helping to feed members of the homeless community in Corpus Christi, Texas when she started running low on plates of food.

Not wanting anyone to be turned away hungry, Hazeal decided to run up the street to a nearby McDonald’s and grab some burgers.

Hazeal initially ordered $40 worth of burgers, but was starting to worry it still wouldn’t be enough. That’s when the manager caught wind of Hazeal’s efforts and pitched in another $20 worth of burgers.

The whole team working at that McDonald’s location that day worked to get the large order made and packed up for Hazeal to go feed more members of the homeless community.

The manager who helped pitch in more money for food, Matthew Ortiz, told a Texas news outlet, “My mother and father always told me, ‘If you have extra money, just give it out.'”

People helping people is a beautiful thing. People helping people to help more people is even better.
