Monica found this story late last week, and we just had to include it in our “Feel Good Story” segment. Gotta love seeing people helping people!
It’s that time of year when folks across the country decorate their homes for the holidays, and some go so above and beyond that other people will make it a point to venture by to admire the hard work of others.
This year, a guy in New Jersey used the Christmas cult-classic “Christmas Vacation” as the theme for his exterior decor — equipped with 7,500 Christmas lights, and even an RV sitting out front with a mannequin version of Cousin Eddie, played by Randy Quaid.
Steve Harbaugh is the mastermind behind the Griswold family-style decorations that have been bringing people by from all over the surrounding neighborhoods to admire, and he’s added a special element to help kids this Christmas season.
Steve’s encouraging everyone that stops by to see the display to bring at least one new, unwrapped toy to be donated to Toys for Tots. The goal is to fill that RV in the yard full of toys, and he’s already received hundreds of gifts from people!
